The Flying Ace All-Stars opened the new Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool with an Opening Ceremony that rocked the house.
The reconstructed jumps at the Utah Olympic Park were used in a special performance by our team and the sold out crowd loved the show. Olympian and World Cup Aerial Champion, Mac Bohonnon, took the ceremonial first jump and then our show using 28 athletes began. Using upcoming talent, current US Ski Team athletes, as well as some legendary retired Ski Team members, the crowd was fully entertained for the 50-minute show.
Olympians Trace Worthington and Fuzz Feddersen M.C.’d the performance and retired athletes, Brian ‘Curdog’ Currutt, and Gerry Grossi, brought back the ‘construction workers’ comedy routine that had the audience cracking up.
It was a fabulous day topped off with a finale jump using 14 athletes and pyro.
